Private API calls use bearer authentication, Cloudflare Access, an authenticated private tunnel, shared IP rate limits, public HTTP(S) URL validation and server-side payment verification. Secrets are kept in Cloudflare Pages and the private API runtime, never in browser code.

REST and MCP authentication is held in Cloudflare Pages production secrets and enforced again by the private API runtime. Stripe-hosted Payment Links handle the £5 and £15 one-time payments; no Stripe secret key is placed in the browser or required by the API for this payment-link flow. Secret values are never returned by the status endpoint.
REST and MCP require a valid private bearer key. Paid checkout uses the configured live Stripe Payment Links and payment is verified by a signed webhook before audit fulfilment.
